A Jacques Grange redesign and Madison Cox gardens
The hotel describes itself as an institution on the island for 35 years, and it is one of the Cheval Blanc hotels owned by LVMH. According to the Michelin Guide, it is the only hotel on Saint-Barthélemy that the French hospitality authorities classify as a palace, and the hotel presents itself as the only Palace in the Caribbean. The guide also awards it three Michelin Keys, its mark for an extraordinary stay (as of 2026).
The designer Jacques Grange is behind a new redesign, inspired by island life and by the idea of Cheval Blanc as a seaside home. Quirky, one-off objects dress the rooms alongside handcrafted furniture in natural materials, and in the 2-Bedroom Ocean Suite his touch shows in a palette of blue and cream. Madison Cox designed the gardens, and Jean-Michel Othoniel and the hotel unveiled The Constellation of Pegasus, a mobile sculpture of coloured glass pearls.
Blush pink is the signature colour, carried through the staff's attire, gifts, amenities, linens and apparel. The house scent, created by Thierry Wasser, Guerlain's head perfumer, evokes ylang-ylang, pineapple, white flowers and sandalwood, and is used in the amenities, candles and spa products.
On the sands of Flamands Beach
The hotel stands on the ivory sands of Flamands Beach, on the island's northern shore. Its rooms, suites and villa are spread along the sand, above the sea and through the tropical gardens. To explore the rest of Saint-Barthélemy, guests can take the hotel's own Mini-Moke, with a picnic prepared by the Carte Blanche team.
The hotel lies 4.2 km north of Gustavia, with the airport 2.7 km to the south-east, and both the airport and Gustavia harbour are a few minutes away by car. Transfers between the hotel and the airport or harbour are offered on arrival and departure.
From tropical rooms to beachfront houses
The Tropical Room and the Ocean Room each have one bedroom for two guests. The Garden Bungalow with Pool has a pool and an exclusive garden terrace, the Ocean Suite an airy terrace with sun loungers, and the Beach Suite ocean views. For larger parties, the Villa de France has five bedrooms for up to ten guests.
Among the two-bedroom categories, the 110 m² 2-Bedroom Bungalow sits at the entryway of the Maison and is presented as ideal for families, with a living room, kitchenette and dining area; each bedroom has an en suite bathroom with rain shower, and the master bedroom adds a bathtub. The 2-Bedroom Tropical Suite, 110 m² including its terrace and reached by stairs, sits close to the heart of the Maison, with an outdoor lounge area and two bedrooms, each with a rain-shower bathroom. The 150 m² 2-Bedroom Garden Suite is set within the tropical gardens: its main suite has a living room opening onto a terrace with sun loungers, a private pool and an outdoor dining area with a kitchenette, and both bedrooms have a bathtub and rain shower.
Higher up, the 160 m² 2-Bedroom Ocean Suite sits on the hills above the Maison, looking towards a turquoise horizon. Both bedrooms have bathrooms with bathtub and rain shower and large separate dressing rooms; there is also a living room, a terrace with sun loungers and an open-air living room with full ocean views. A dedicated team of Cheval Blanc Majordomes looks after the suite.
On the sand, two categories have direct access to Flamands Beach and their own teams of Majordomes. The 2-Bedroom Beach House, 160 m² including its terrace, puts the master bedroom upstairs with its own terrace over Flamands Bay, and adds a living room, a dining area with kitchenette and a private hot tub; each bedroom has a bathroom with bathtub and shower, and a dressing room. The 160 m² 2-Bedroom Beach Suite, close to the restaurant, has a private pool overlooking the bay, a living room, a dining room and private terraces, with bathtub, rain shower and large separate dressing rooms in both bedrooms.

Langosteria, La Cabane and the Tiki Bar
Langosteria brings its seafood-based cooking to the Caribbean: classic dishes with an Italian touch, plus a few signatures devoted to St-Barth. It opens daily for dinner from 18:00 to 23:00.
La Cabane sits on the white sand of Flamands Bay and serves lunch daily from noon, facing the Caribbean. Chef Anthony Suivant cooks generous dishes with delicate Caribbean notes, and the experience runs on into the evening with cocktails at sunset; a collaboration with Eminente rum gives the place a Cuban touch.
The beachside Tiki Bar serves cocktails ranging from light to spicy, daily from 10:00 to 18:00. Le Kiosque offers the pastry chef's creations and the bakers' viennoiseries to take away. Carte Blanche in-room dining runs 24 hours a day, and the same team arranges private dinners, beach barbecues, picnics and starlit dinner cruises.
Guerlain treatments and a garden pavilion
The Cheval Blanc Spa offers Guerlain treatments exclusive on the island, in five treatment rooms, one of them a double VIP suite, and in a tropical treatment and relaxation pavilion in the gardens, where four-hand massages for two and facials take place. To mark the tenth anniversary of Cheval Blanc St-Barth, Guerlain created an exclusive vanilla ritual, Antilles Serenity. The spa is open daily from 10:00 to 20:00.
The beach and pools are open daily from 08:00 until sunset. For exercise, the Fitness Studio is open 24 hours a day, and yoga sessions take place in the Tropical Pavilion.
Le Carrousel and made-to-measure moments
Le Carrousel draws children into the world of Aru and Naïa, two young Arawak characters, with games, discovery and stories inspired by the island's culture. Young guests are greeted with specially designed amenities and gifts: refined French equipment for babies, kid-sized flip-flops, slippers and bathrobes, made-to-measure baby purées, children's menus and even well-being treatments. Each season, the hotel adds new adventures in the French West Indies.
The hotel's Alchemists design personalised moments for every mood, occasion and wish, and the house arranges made-to-measure private events for any occasion.
