La Clef Tour Eiffel occupies a 19th-century building on Avenue Kléber, and every room and apartment has decor inspired by the 1889 Exposition Universelle, built with noble materials. It stands in Paris's 16th arrondissement, just steps, the hotel says, from the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. Rooms sit alongside suites and apartments, several with fully equipped kitchens, and the Suite Tour Eiffel has a view of the tower.

Why it stands out

  • Decor inspired by the 1889 Exposition Universelle, in noble materials
  • A short walk from the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe
  • Suite Tour Eiffel: 108 m² with a view of the Eiffel Tower
  • Fully equipped kitchens with washer-dryers in the suites and One-Bedroom Apartment
  • Fitness room open around the clock, plus a hammam

Decor drawn from the 1889 Exposition Universelle

The hotel describes its home as a 19th-century building designed by the architect Ricardo Bofill, and as a residence that blends history and modernity. The 1889 Exposition Universelle is the thread running through its rooms and apartments, whose decor the hotel says is built with noble materials. According to the hotel, the Superior Room is decorated in a style that echoes the charm of 19th-century Parisian apartments, while the Superior Premium Rooms, Deluxe Rooms and Junior Suites pair the building's architectural heritage with contemporary elegance and comfort.

The hotel says the Suite Tour Eiffel pays homage to the visionary spirit of the 1889 exhibition. The hotel also holds certification from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, which it presents as a reflection of its commitment to operating responsibly, and publishes its own environmental figures: a carbon footprint of 7.52 kg per night per room, which it reports as better than the Paris average, and a water footprint of 496.69 litres per night per room.

Near the Trocadéro and the Champs-Élysées

The address is 83 avenue Kléber, 75116 Paris, in the 16th arrondissement, which the hotel describes as prestigious. The Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées are neighbours, and the hotel suggests both for a walk. The Trocadéro, close at hand, offers what the hotel calls spectacular views of the Eiffel Tower, and the hotel recommends it for photographs. For getting around, the hotel lists the Trocadéro (line 6) and Iéna (line 9) metro stations, the RER C station Champ de Mars – Tour Eiffel and bus lines 22, 30, 32 and 63.

Art lovers are well placed: the Musée de l'Homme, the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris and the Palais de Tokyo are all close to the hotel. For relaxation, the hotel points guests to the Jardin du Ranelagh and the vast Bois de Boulogne. It also recommends Rue de la Pompe for its pastry shops and renowned bakeries and, for shopping, the elegant boutiques of Avenue Victor Hugo and of the Passy district, which it describes as dynamic.

From the Superior Room to the Suite Tour Eiffel

The Superior Room measures 26 m² and sleeps up to two, with a double bed or twin beds and, in the hotel's words, all the equipment of a modern apartment; the hotel pitches it at solo travellers, business travellers and couples. The Superior Premium Room, from 30 to 39 m², also sleeps two and has what the hotel calls a hushed, sophisticated atmosphere, with a double bed or twin beds depending on availability and a bathroom with either a bathtub with integrated shower or a shower. It comes with a Nespresso machine, an electric kettle, a Full HD TV with Chromecast and, depending on configuration, a minifridge, refrigerator and microwave. Views vary between a peaceful courtyard side and Parisian perspectives, so the courtyard side is the quieter choice.

The Deluxe Room, from 40 to 51 m² and also for two, has a double bed or two single beds depending on availability, and a bathroom with a bathtub and/or a separate shower. Depending on configuration it has a refrigerator or minifridge and a microwave, alongside a Nespresso machine, kettle and Full HD TV with Chromecast, and its views range from the patio to Parisian panoramas. The Junior Suite, from 45 to 56 m² and again for two, steps up to a bathroom with both a bathtub and a separate shower and a fully equipped kitchen with hob, extractor hood, dishwasher, washer-dryer and utensils, plus a Nespresso machine, kettle and Full HD TV with Chromecast. Chromecast, available throughout, works with Netflix, Spotify and YouTube.

The apartments make room for more guests. The One-Bedroom Apartment sleeps up to four, with a separate bedroom with a double bed, a sofa bed in the living room for extra travellers, a shower room, a Nespresso machine, a kettle and a Full HD TV with Chromecast, as well as the same fully equipped kitchen, so guests can cook as they would at home. The Two-Bedroom Apartment measures 59 m² and sleeps up to six, with one double bed, two single beds and a sofa bed.

The standout is the Suite Tour Eiffel, 108 m² with what the hotel calls an exclusive view of the Eiffel Tower. It has a bedroom with a double bed, a second with two single beds and a spacious living room with a sofa bed, which the hotel sees as a place to relax or spend time together as a family. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bathtub combined with shower, and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washer-dryer that the hotel presents as ideal for a self-sufficient stay, along with a Nespresso machine and kettle, and Full HD TVs with Chromecast in the living room and bedrooms.

An American buffet breakfast and GustaV Le Bar

Breakfast is an American buffet, served every day from 07:00 to 11:00 in the breakfast room on the ground floor: eggs, bacon, sausages, hash browns, fresh breads and pastries and pancakes, with a hot drink or fresh fruit juice, and vegetarian, gluten-free and lactose-free options. It is charged as an extra unless the rate booked includes it.

In the evening, GustaV Le Bar, which the hotel says blends late 19th-century art and architecture with modern luxury and draws its inspiration from Gustav Klimt, Gustav Mahler and Gustave Eiffel, serves signature cocktails with refined bites and sharing boards. It opens from Tuesday to Saturday, 17:00 to midnight, and the hotel suggests it for an aperitif or to end the day.

A gym that never closes, and a hammam

The fitness room is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, which suits early risers and late arrivals alike. The hotel describes the gym as equipped with the latest technologies, and it is complemented by a hammam where, the hotel suggests, guests can relax after a workout.

Services for families and business travellers

Reception is open 24 hours a day, and there is a concierge. Daily housekeeping, luggage storage and a self-service laundry are provided, and staff speak Arabic, English, French, Spanish and Russian. For work, a fully equipped meeting room hosts professional events or private meetings in what the hotel calls a functional and elegant setting.

Children are welcome. Those under 12 stay free when using existing beds, and children under two stay free in a crib, available on request; each room can take one crib.
